At WorksBuddy, we want every customer to feel confident and informed about how their subscription and credits work. This Billing & Subscription Policy outlines how plans, trials, and AI Credits function on www.workbuddy.ai.

By subscribing to any WorksBuddy paid plan, you agree to the terms set out in this policy.

Subscription Plans

WorksBuddy offers the following subscription types:

  • Monthly Plans — billed every 30 days on a recurring basis
  • Annual Plans — billed once per year (or in installments, where offered)
  • Team / Enterprise Plans — custom billing arrangements agreed upon at time of purchase

All plans renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date.

14-Day Free Trial

WorksBuddy offers a 14-day free trial to all new users. No payment is collected during the trial period. You will only be charged once your trial ends and you choose to continue with a paid plan.

How the Trial Works
  • Your trial begins on the date you create your account.
  • You have full access to WorksBuddy features, including AI Credits, during the 14-day trial period.
  • No credit card charge occurs during the trial.
  • At the end of the 14-day trial, you may choose a paid plan to continue using WorksBuddy.
  • If you do not upgrade, your account will be paused and you will lose access to paid features.
Trial Credit Carry-Forward

Any unused AI Credits remaining at the end of your 14-day free trial will carry forward to your paid plan. You will not lose credits earned or accumulated during the trial when you upgrade.

Example: If your trial includes 500 AI Credits and you used 150 during the trial, the remaining 350 credits will be added to your new paid plan balance automatically.

No Refund Policy

WorksBuddy does not offer refunds on any paid subscriptions, add-ons, or purchases. All sales are final.

This applies to:

  • Monthly subscription fees
  • Annual subscription fees
  • AI Credit top-up purchases
  • Add-ons, extra seats, storage expansions, or other one-time purchases
  • Team and Enterprise plan payments

We encourage all users to make full use of the 14-day free trial before committing to a paid plan so you can evaluate the platform at no cost.

Note: If you believe you were charged in error (e.g., duplicate charge or unauthorized transaction), please contact billing@workbuddy.ai immediately. Erroneous charges will be investigated and corrected where confirmed.

AI Credits — Usage Policy

WorksBuddy pricing plans include AI Credits, which are consumed when you use AI-powered features such as task generation, smart summaries, AI writing assistance, and other AI-driven tools within the platform.

How AI Credits Work
  • Each paid plan includes a set monthly or annual allocation of AI Credits.
  • Credits reset at the start of each billing cycle (monthly or annual, depending on your plan).
  • Unused credits from your 14-day free trial carry forward to your first paid plan.
  • Unused monthly credits do not roll over to the next billing cycle unless you are on an annual plan with rollover explicitly stated.
  • Additional AI Credits can be purchased as a top-up add-on at any time.

Annual Plans

After the 14-day money-back guarantee period, annual subscriptions are generally non-refundable. However, we evaluate annual refund requests on a case-by-case basis.

Eligible scenarios for a pro-rated annual refund:

  • You have used the Service for fewer than 60 days since your annual renewal
  • You are switching to a lower-tier plan and request a credit toward the new plan
  • There is a documented technical failure on our part that prevented meaningful use of the Service

How pro-rated refunds are calculated: If approved, the refund amount is calculated as:

(Annual fee ÷ 12) × Remaining full months unused

Partial months are not refunded.

To request an annual refund, email billing@workbuddy.ai with:

  • Your registered account email
  • Date of purchase
  • Reason for the refund request

We will review and respond within 5 business days.

Credit Carry-Forward Summary

Technical Failures & Credit Deduction Errors

If AI Credits were deducted due to a technical error — for example, a failed AI generation that still consumed credits, or a system bug causing incorrect deduction — we will restore those credits to your account promptly.

To report a credit deduction error:

  • Email billing@workbuddy.ai with subject: "AI Credit Deduction Error"
  • Include your account email, the approximate date/time, and the feature used
  • We will investigate and restore credits within 3 business days if the error is confirmed

Plan Upgrades & Downgrades

Upgrading: When you upgrade to a higher-tier plan mid-cycle, you will be charged a pro-rated amount for the remainder of the billing period. No credit is issued for the previous plan.

Downgrading: When you downgrade to a lower-tier plan, the change takes effect at the start of your next billing cycle. No credits or adjustments are issued for the difference in price during the current billing period.

Add-Ons and One-Time Purchases

Purchases of add-ons, extra seats, storage expansions, or other one-time items are non-refundable.

If you believe an add-on was charged in error or a technical issue on our end prevented it from functioning as described, contact billing@workbuddy.ai within 7 days of the charge.

Team & Enterprise Plans

For Enterprise billing inquiries, contact your dedicated account manager or email enterprise@workbuddy.ai.

Charges Made in Error

If you believe you were charged incorrectly — for example, due to a system error, duplicate charge, or unauthorized transaction — please contact us immediately at billing@workbuddy.ai.

We will investigate and, if an error is confirmed, issue a full correction within 5-7 business days. If the charge was processed through a third-party payment provider (e.g., Stripe), the correction timeline may vary slightly depending on your bank or card issuer.

Chargebacks

We encourage you to contact us before initiating a chargeback with your bank or card provider. Most billing disputes can be resolved quickly and directly.

Initiating a chargeback without first contacting us may result in:

  • Suspension or termination of your WorksBuddy account
  • Being flagged as ineligible for future account reinstatement

We take all billing concerns seriously and are committed to resolving them fairly.

Taxes & Fees

Any applicable taxes, transaction fees, or currency conversion costs are determined by your local tax authority or payment processor and are not adjustable by WorksBuddy.

Cancellation

Cancellation stops future charges. You can cancel your subscription at any time from your account dashboard under Settings → Billing → Cancel Subscription, or by emailing billing@workbuddy.ai.

Upon cancellation:

  • Your subscription remains active until the end of the current billing period.
  • You will not be charged on the next renewal date.
  • No adjustment is made for unused days remaining in the billing cycle.

Changes to This Policy

We reserve the right to modify this Billing & Subscription Policy at any time. Changes will be posted at www.workbuddy.ai/billing-policy with an updated effective date. Continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
