At WorksBuddy, we stand behind the value of our platform and want every customer to feel confident in their purchase. This Refund Policy outlines when and how refunds are issued for paid subscriptions and add-ons purchased through www.workbuddy.ai.
By subscribing to any WorksBuddy paid plan, you agree to the terms set out in this policy.

Subscription Plans
WorksBuddy offers the following subscription types:
- Monthly Plans — billed every 30 days on a recurring basis
- Annual Plans — billed once per year (or in installments, where offered)
- Team / Enterprise Plans — custom billing arrangements agreed upon at time of purchase
All plans renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date.
Free Trial
If you are using WorksBuddy on a free trial, no payment is collected during the trial period. You will only be charged once your trial ends and you choose to continue with a paid plan.
We recommend cancelling before your trial ends if you decide not to continue. No refund is applicable to free trial periods.
14-Day Money-Back Guarantee
We offer a 14-day money-back guarantee for all new paid subscriptions — monthly and annual — from the date of your first charge.
If you are not satisfied with WorksBuddy for any reason within the first 14 days of your paid subscription, you may request a full refund. No questions asked.
To request a refund under the 14-day guarantee:
- Email billing@workbuddy.ai with the subject line: "Refund Request - 14-Day Guarantee"
- Include your registered email address and reason for the request (optional but appreciated)
- We will process your refund within 5-10 business days
Note: The 14-day guarantee applies to your first subscription only. It does not apply to plan upgrades, renewals, or resubscriptions after a prior cancellation.
Monthly Plans
After the 14-day money-back guarantee period, monthly subscriptions are non-refundable.
If you cancel a monthly plan:
- Your subscription remains active until the end of the current billing period
- You will not be charged on the next renewal date
- No partial refund is issued for unused days in the billing cycle
We encourage you to cancel before your next billing date to avoid being charged for the upcoming month.
Annual Plans
After the 14-day money-back guarantee period, annual subscriptions are generally non-refundable. However, we evaluate annual refund requests on a case-by-case basis.
Eligible scenarios for a pro-rated annual refund:
- You have used the Service for fewer than 60 days since your annual renewal
- You are switching to a lower-tier plan and request a credit toward the new plan
- There is a documented technical failure on our part that prevented meaningful use of the Service
How pro-rated refunds are calculated: If approved, the refund amount is calculated as:
(Annual fee ÷ 12) × Remaining full months unused
Partial months are not refunded.
To request an annual refund, email billing@workbuddy.ai with:
- Your registered account email
- Date of purchase
- Reason for the refund request
We will review and respond within 5 business days.
AI Credits — Usage & Refund Policy
WorksBuddy pricing plans include AI Credits, which are consumed when you use AI-powered features such as task generation, smart summaries, AI writing assistance, and other AI-driven tools within the platform.
How AI Credits Work
- Each paid plan includes a set monthly or annual allocation of AI Credits
- Credits reset at the start of each billing cycle (monthly or annual, depending on your plan)
- Unused credits do not roll over to the next billing cycle unless you are on an annual plan with rollover explicitly stated
- Additional AI Credits can be purchased as a top-up add-on at any time
Refunds on Used AI Credits
AI Credits that have been consumed are non-refundable. Once credits are used to generate AI output — regardless of whether you were satisfied with the result — those credits are considered spent and cannot be returned.
This applies to:
- Credits used within the 14-day money-back guarantee window
- Credits consumed before a plan downgrade or cancellation
- Top-up credits that have been partially or fully used
Example: If your plan includes 500 AI Credits and you have used 200 before requesting a refund, only the subscription fee minus the proportional cost of the 200 used credits may be eligible for refund. The 200 used credits are non-refundable.
Refunds on Unused AI Credits
Unused AI Credits may be eligible for a pro-rated refund under the following conditions:
AI Credit Top-Ups
Purchased AI Credit top-ups are non-refundable once any credits from that top-up have been used. If you purchase a top-up and have not used any of those credits, you may request a refund within 7 days of purchase by contacting billing@workbuddy.ai.
Technical Failures & Incorrect Credit Deductions
If AI Credits were deducted due to a technical error — for example, a failed AI generation that still consumed credits, or a system bug causing incorrect deduction — we will restore those credits to your account promptly.
To report a credit deduction error:
- Email billing@workbuddy.ai with subject: "AI Credit Deduction Error"
- Include your account email, the approximate date/time, and the feature used
- We will investigate and restore credits within 3 business days if the error is confirmed
Plan Upgrades & Downgrades
Upgrading: When you upgrade to a higher-tier plan mid-cycle, you will be charged a pro-rated amount for the remainder of the billing period. No refund is issued for the previous plan.
Downgrading: When you downgrade to a lower-tier plan, the change takes effect at the start of your next billing cycle. We do not issue refunds or credits for the difference in price for the current billing period.
Add-Ons and One-Time Purchases
Purchases of add-ons, extra seats, storage expansions, or other one-time items are non-refundable unless:
- The add-on was charged in error (e.g., a duplicate transaction); or
- A technical issue on our end prevented the add-on from functioning as described.
Contact billing@workbuddy.ai within 7 days of the charge to report an issue with an add-on purchase.
Team & Enterprise Plans
Refunds for Team and Enterprise plans are governed by the terms of your individual agreement or contract with WorksBuddy. If no specific terms are stated in your agreement, the standard policy above applies.
For Enterprise billing inquiries, contact your dedicated account manager or email enterprise@workbuddy.ai.
Charges Made in Error
If you believe you were charged incorrectly — for example, due to a system error, duplicate charge, or unauthorized transaction — please contact us immediately at billing@workbuddy.ai.
We will investigate and, if an error is confirmed, issue a full correction or refund within 5-7 business days. If the charge was processed through a third-party payment provider (e.g., Stripe), the refund timeline may vary slightly depending on your bank or card issuer.
Chargebacks
We encourage you to contact us before initiating a chargeback with your bank or card provider. Most billing disputes can be resolved quickly and directly.
Initiating a chargeback without first contacting us may result in:
- Suspension or termination of your WorksBuddy account
- Being flagged as ineligible for future refunds
We take all billing concerns seriously and are committed to resolving them fairly.
Taxes & Fees
Refunds are issued for the base subscription amount only. Any applicable taxes, transaction fees, or currency conversion costs are non-refundable, as these are determined by your local tax authority or payment processor.
Cancellation vs. Refund
Cancellation stops future charges. It does not automatically trigger a refund.
A refund is a return of money already paid, subject to the eligibility criteria described in this policy.
You can cancel your subscription at any time from your account dashboard under Settings → Billing → Cancel Subscription, or by emailing billing@workbuddy.ai.
How Refunds Are Issued
Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method used at the time of purchase. We do not issue refunds via bank transfer, check, or alternative payment methods unless required by law.
Refund processing times:
- Credit/debit cards: 5-10 business days (varies by issuing bank)
- PayPal or digital wallets: 3-5 business days
If you do not see your refund after 10 business days, please contact your bank before reaching out to us, as processing delays are sometimes on the bank's end.
Exceptions & Special Circumstances
We understand that exceptional circumstances happen. If you believe your situation warrants a refund outside the terms of this policy — such as a serious medical emergency, natural disaster, or other extenuating circumstance — please reach out to billing@workbuddy.ai and we will review your case with empathy and good faith.
Changes to This Policy
We reserve the right to modify this Refund Policy at any time. Changes will be posted at www.workbuddy.ai/refund-policy with an updated effective date. Continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
