This quickstart walks you through the fastest path to value in Ranko: build a topic plan, produce or refresh a page, and check how four AI assistants would quote it.
Before you start
You will get the most out of Ranko if you have:
- Your website URL.
- A Google Search Console property for your site (used for rank and indexation data).
- A few of your best existing posts to train brand voice.
- A topic or two you want to rank for.
Steps
Connect your site and data sources. Add your website and connect Google Search Console. You can also pull in Google Analytics 4, Ahrefs, Semrush, and Bing Webmaster data.
Build a topic plan. Enter a topic. Ranko mines real Google searches and questions from ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, and Gemini, groups them into clusters, and returns a ranked 90 day publishing plan scored by opportunity gap.
Train your brand voice. Drop in five of your best existing posts so Ranko can learn your tone, vocabulary, and formatting and apply it to future drafts.
Write or refresh a page. Generate a new answer-first article with real research mixed in and an originality check, or score an existing page and produce a side by side rewrite that keeps the URL intact.
Simulate AI mentions. Run the page through the four AI assistants with the most relevant questions to see whether it gets quoted, which passage is used, and which competitor is picked instead.
Publish and track. Publish, then let Ranko sync Search Console daily and check AI mentions to monitor rankings, citations, and rank decay over time.
