Zoom
Schedule, run, and follow up on customer meetings with Zoom — without leaving Lio.
Available on: Starter, Pro, Enterprise · Requires a connected Zoom account.
Connect Zoom to Lio to schedule, run, and follow up on customer meetings without leaving your CRM. Create Zoom meetings directly from a customer record, see live updates while a meeting is in progress, and — after the call — automatically capture the recording and transcript to generate an AI meeting summary. Every interaction stays recorded on the customer timeline, with no manual note-taking.
The integration is optional and user-initiated: each user connects their own Zoom account and can disconnect at any time.
What you can do
Schedule meetings
Live meeting updates
Capture recordings
AI meeting summaries
Before you get started
You'll need:
- A Zoom account you can sign in to and authorize.
- The Lio permission to manage integrations for your workspace.
- To capture recordings and transcripts: Cloud Recording and audio transcript must be enabled in Zoom, and the recording must remain available in Zoom for it to sync.
- The integration is per user — each user connects their own Zoom account; it is not shared across a team.
- Recordings and transcripts sync only once the Zoom Cloud recording is ready.
- The connection can be revoked at any time from Integrations settings.
Connect Zoom
Open Integrations settings. In Lio, go to Settings › Integrations and select Connect Zoom.

Disconnect anytime. Select Disconnect at any time to revoke the connection.
The connection uses Zoom's standard OAuth 2.0 authorization flow. Lio requests only the permissions needed for the features above.
Permissions requested
| Permission | Why it's needed |
|---|---|
| View user information | Identify which Zoom account is connected. |
| View and manage meetings | Create, update, and cancel meetings scheduled from Lio. |
| View recordings | Retrieve the recording and transcript after a meeting so a summary can be generated. |
How it works
1. Scheduling a meeting. Open a customer record and schedule a meeting. Choose Zoom and Lio creates a meeting on your connected account, saving the join link to the record. If you use a connected calendar, the join link is added to the invite.
2. During the meeting. While the meeting runs, Lio keeps the record current — when it started, when the customer joined, and when it ended — for an accurate activity history.
3. After the meeting. Once the Zoom Cloud recording is ready, Lio retrieves the recording link and transcript and attaches them to the record.
4. Generating a summary. Choose to generate a summary and Lio turns the transcript into a concise summary, highlights, sentiment, and suggested follow-ups — ready to act on inside the CRM.
Notifications & security
Lio receives event notifications from Zoom (for example, when a meeting starts or ends, or when a recording is ready) on a dedicated, secured endpoint. Every incoming notification is verified against Zoom's request signature before it is processed, and any request that fails verification is rejected. Lio also completes Zoom's endpoint verification (URL validation) challenge during setup.
Data handling & privacy
- User consent: Enabled only after you explicitly authorize it; you can disconnect at any time.
- Least privilege: Lio requests only the permissions required for the features above.
- Secure storage: Authorization credentials are stored encrypted and never exposed to end users.
- Purpose limitation: Zoom data is used solely to provide the CRM features described here, for the account that authorized the connection.
- Verified notifications: Incoming Zoom event notifications are cryptographically verified before processing.
- Access control: Zoom data is only accessible to the authorized user and their organization within Lio.
Disconnect Zoom
Go to Settings › Integrations, select Zoom, and choose Disconnect. This revokes Lio's access to your Zoom account. Meetings already created remain on their customer records.
