Risk Alerts Dashboard

Monitors eight project risk types continuously, classifies each by severity, and tracks alerts until the underlying risk clears.

The Risk Alerts Dashboard runs eight independent detection engines that monitor your workspace continuously, classify each alert by severity, and keep it open until the underlying risk clears.

How it works

TARO runs eight detection engines simultaneously, each watching a different class of risk. The engines run continuously rather than on a nightly schedule, so an alert fires the moment a signal crosses its threshold. Each alert is classified into one of four severity levels based on deadline proximity, scope of impact, and how long it has persisted. Alerts follow a four-stage resolution loop and close only when the data confirms the risk has cleared. Unaddressed alerts escalate to higher severity, and dismissed alerts are logged permanently in alert history.

Key capabilities

  • Eight alert types: overdue tasks, deadline risk, workflow bottleneck, inactive project, over budget, unassigned tasks, blocked tasks, and velocity decline.
  • Four severity levels: Critical, High, Monitor, and Info.
  • Over Budget alert at 80% of configured budget (Monitor) and at or above full consumption (Critical), using monetary budget and time entries converted at the workspace hourly rate.
  • Inactive Project alert after a configurable period of no meaningful activity (default 3 days for sprints, 7 days for projects), with On Hold status suppressing it.
  • Velocity Decline measured against a rolling baseline from the last three completed sprints, with configurable thresholds (default 15% / 25% / 35% for Monitor / High / Critical).
  • Time-and-context-driven escalation with re-notification to the relevant owner, lead, or admin.
  • Resolution confirmed by the underlying signal, not by acknowledgement.
  • Dismissals logged with user, severity, timestamp, and optional reason; alerts re-fire if the signal worsens.
  • All thresholds configurable at workspace level and overridable per project.

Tips

Use the four severity levels as a triage framework: act on Critical immediately, review High before end of day, watch Monitor at standup, and review Info in retrospectives.
