Points on task completion, 4 rarity achievement badges, milestone rewards, daily streak tracking with streak freeze, and org wide leaderboards filtered by week, month, and all time.
TARO's gamification layer runs automatically beneath every task earning points, unlocking badges, tracking streaks, and ranking the team without any configuration from the team.
Points
Drop a single LinkedIn profile URL into Lio's enrichment field, or upload a CSV with up to 1,000 URLs for bulk processing. Both paths trigger the same enrichment pipeline the bulk route just queues them asynchronously via BullMQ so your session never stalls.
Processing
For single profiles, enrichment completes and lands in your lead table in under 10 seconds. For bulk jobs, BullMQ processes up to 5 profiles concurrently with automatic retries, exponential backoff, and live progress tracking — you can close the tab and come back.
Streaks
TARO tracks daily streak count the number of consecutive days a user has completed at least one task. Streak length is visible on the profile and the leaderboard. For days where completing a task genuinely wasn't possible public holidays, sick days, emergency leave the streak freeze pauses the streak counter without breaking the chain. Each user receives a configurable number of freezes per month. Using a freeze preserves the streak; it doesn't extend it. Streaks drive the highest rarity badge achievements and are among the most visible daily motivators on the leaderboard.
Compete
The leaderboard ranks every member of the organisation by accumulated XP across three time windows this week, this month, and all time. Weekly and monthly rankings reset on schedule, giving every team member a fresh competitive window even if they're behind on the all time chart. Each row shows rank, avatar, name, earned badge icons, XP total for the selected window, and a points trend indicator. Your own rank is always highlighted so you can see exactly where you stand relative to the team without scrolling.
Work that earns points, unlocks badges, and moves you up a visible ranking gets done with a different energy than work that just moves a card. TARO adds that layer without changing how the work is managed.
Urgent tasks reward more XP than Low priority tasks. The points system reinforces the same behaviour TARO already tracks completing important work on time. The leaderboard reflects genuine contribution, not just task volume.
A badge system where everyone has the top tier within a month means nothing. TARO's four rarity system makes Common badges achievable immediately and Legendary badges a long term goal that only the most consistent contributors reach keeping the top tier prestigious.
A 30-day streak broken by a bank holiday or a sick day is demoralising, not motivating. Streak freezes acknowledge that work and life coexist protecting earned momentum on days where completing a task genuinely wasn't possible without making the freeze exploitable.
A team member who is far behind on the all time chart can still compete meaningfully in the weekly ranking. Three time windows week, month, all time ensure there's always a relevant competitive window regardless of when someone joined or how active they've been historically.
The single task daily streak threshold is low enough to be achievable on any workday without feeling like a grind, but visible enough on the leaderboard to be worth protecting. A 14 day streak on a leaderboard is a public commitment to consistency that motivates more than a private goal.
XP accumulates quietly. Milestone rewards bonus XP plus a badge at 30 day streak, 100 day streak, sprint perfect clear punctuate the journey with visible moments of recognition that the team sees. They turn a number going up into an event worth noticing.
Points start accumulating the moment you complete your first task. No setup. No configuration.
Engineering leads, agency managers, and HR teams all activate TARO's gamification layer for the same reason consistent daily task completion is the most reliable predictor of sprint success, and a system that makes that consistency feel rewarding generates it more reliably than a system that simply requires it. Points, badges, streaks, and leaderboards are the mechanics. Better delivery is the outcome.

Engineering teams use the weekly leaderboard as a lightweight competitive layer between sprints. The developer who's been coasting on easy tasks sees that completing two Urgent blockers today would leapfrog them from #4 to #2. The sprint lead notices the correlation between high streak team members and sprint completion rates. Gamification doesn't change the work it changes how the work feels to do every morning.
Points are earned by completing tasks, closing sprints, and hitting estimates. The features below are where that work lives and where consistent performers win their streaks.
Every task completion is the primary XP event. The richer the task subtasks, time logs, accurate estimates the more there is to earn points on across the day.
Sprint perfect clear every committed task completed is TARO's highest single event XP reward. Gamification gives teams an extra reason to hold their sprint commitment.
The Gamification Score dashboard widget shows your XP, streak, rank, and badge count in one panel alongside the productivity trend data that feeds the leaderboard score.
Completing a task within 10% of its estimated hours earns an Accuracy Bonus XP award making time tracking something team members actively want to do, not just a management requirement.

Common questions from team leads, HR managers, and contributors evaluating TARO's gamification system.
Yes gamification is an opt-in workspace feature that org admins can enable or disable entirely. When disabled, no XP is awarded, no badges are tracked, no streaks are counted, and the leaderboard panel is hidden from all user interfaces. Individual users cannot opt out while it's enabled workspace wide the system is either on for everyone or off for everyone, preventing the data skew that would occur if some users earned points and others didn't. Org admins can also configure the visibility of the leaderboard set it to visible to everyone (default), visible to leads only, or private (each user can only see their own score, not the full ranking). The gamification score widget on the personal dashboard is always available regardless of leaderboard visibility setting.
Points. Badges. Streaks. Leaderboard. All running the moment your team starts working.
