Topic Planner

Turns a single plain-language topic into a ranked 90-day publishing plan in about a minute.

Topic Planner takes one plain-language topic and returns a ranked 90-day publishing plan in about a minute, built from real Google searches and real questions asked across the major AI assistants.

How it works

You enter a single topic in plain language, with no keyword seed lists required. Ranko mines real searches from Google and real questions from ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, and Gemini around that topic. It groups every mined question into clusters by the intent behind it, such as comparison, how-to, best-of recommendations, and edge cases. Each cluster is scored against the opportunity gap, then clusters are ranked from highest leverage to lowest and laid out across a 90-day publishing calendar. The plan flows directly into the rest of the platform rather than ending as a downloaded file.

Key capabilities

  • Plain-language topic input with no keyword seed list or taxonomy required.
  • Google search mining drawn from related searches, people-also-ask questions, autocomplete patterns, and featured snippet question shapes.
  • AI assistant question mining across ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, and Gemini.
  • Intent-based clustering that groups questions by what the searcher wants.
  • Opportunity gap scoring based on how often a question is asked, how thinly it is covered, how citable a strong answer would be, and how it connects to commercial intent.
  • A ranked 90-day publishing plan ordering what to publish first, next, and later.
  • Plans flow into Content Forge, Audit Forge, and Analytics Forge.

Tips

For highly competitive topics, the planner drills into unsaturated clusters such as edge cases, specific industry needs, and role-based use cases rather than recommending saturated head terms.
