Document Management

Upload, create, organize, schedule, and download documents across their full lifecycle, with completion certificates attached.

Document Management handles the full document lifecycle in Sigi: uploading or creating files, organizing them in folders, sending or scheduling them, and downloading completed contracts with a completion certificate attached.

How it works

Documents enter the system by upload or by generation from a template. PDF, DOCX, and image files upload natively with no conversion required, and up to 20 files can be uploaded in a single action. Documents are organized in hierarchical folders that nest as deep as the team's structure needs. Documents can be sent immediately or scheduled for a future date and time, and optional validity windows automatically expire unsigned documents past their deadline. Once signed, the final document downloads with a completion certificate attached.

Key capabilities

  • File support: native upload for PDF, DOCX, and image files.
  • Bulk upload: up to 20 files in a single action, no limit on total library size.
  • Templates: save standard contract types and generate new instances that inherit structure, default routing, validity rules, and custom fields.
  • Hierarchical folders: arbitrary nesting depth to match operational structure.
  • Auto expire: configurable validity windows expire unsigned documents past the deadline.
  • Scheduled sending: dispatch a document at a specified future date and time.
  • Completion certificate: each completed download includes signer names and emails, timestamps, IP addresses, signing flow type and order, a document version hash for tamper detection, and any captured acknowledgements.

Tips

Document Management is the foundation other Sigi features build on. Signing Workflows, Risk Analysis, and Expiration Reminders all operate on documents managed here.
