Templates and Versioning

Reusable document templates with categories, custom fields, use count tracking, and an edit request workflow.

Sigi lets teams create reusable document templates with categories and custom fields, and routes changes through an edit request workflow so template versions stay controlled.

How it works

Any document used repeatedly, such as an NDA, service agreement, vendor onboarding form, or employment offer, can become a template. Categories organize templates by type, and each template can carry custom fields that populate automatically when a new instance is created. Templates published globally are available to everyone, so the organization works from the same approved versions.

Changes flow through an edit request workflow rather than direct editing. A submitter proposes changes, the template owner reviews and approves or rejects, and approved changes become the new version. The full history is preserved so the team can see who requested what and roll back if needed.

Key capabilities

  • Reusable templates for any repeated document type.
  • Template categories to organize the library by document type, function, or team.
  • Custom fields per template that populate automatically into new instances.
  • Use count tracking that shows how often each template is used.
  • Edit request workflow with submit, review, approve or reject, and versioning.
  • Global template sharing so the whole organization uses the same approved versions.

Tips

Document Management handles the documents themselves, while Templates and Versioning governs the reusable structures those documents come from, including categories, custom fields, use count, and edit requests.
