Risk Analysis
Automatic scanning of contract text that identifies legal and business risks with severity levels.
Sigi automatically scans contract text, identifies legal and business risks, and assigns each one a severity level with a specific description, so the team sees the exposure before signing.
How it works
The moment a contract enters the platform, Sigi reads the full document and runs risk detection over every provision, with no manual configuration or clause selection. Each identified risk is assigned a severity level from low to critical, along with a description explaining what the risk is, where it sits, and why it matters.
A background scan runs every 30 minutes to pick up edits during negotiation and re-evaluate the risk picture. When the team fixes the clause that triggered a risk, the next scan auto resolves it and moves it to the history log, so the dashboard always reflects the current state.
Key capabilities
- Automatic scanning of the full contract text on entry, with no setup.
- Legal risk identification, such as unlimited liability, missing limitations, asymmetric indemnification, vague intellectual property assignment, and problematic warranties.
- Business risk identification, such as unfavorable payment terms, unrealistic delivery commitments, restrictive non-competes, automatic renewal traps, and exclusivity provisions.
- Four severity levels: low, medium, high, and critical, each with a specific description.
- Background re-scan every 30 minutes to detect new risks and surface previously missed ones.
- Automatic resolution once a triggering clause is fixed, with resolved risks moved to the history log.
Tips
Risk Analysis covers dangerous clauses. Missing Clause Detection catches absent ones, Clause Intelligence improves weak ones, and Signing Behavior Analysis tracks post-send engagement.
